Adjustible cam sprockets are around $300. I bought a set for my 2001. I don't like the looks of your sprockets. It looks like spalling. The problem with that is, if there is enough surface area for the OIL to get into you won't have any oil between the sprocket and the cam chain. Then the cam chain won't last long. Of course, not being able to see the part up close is a disadvantage. Hope it all works out for you.

Take Care and good luck.

Because from the factory I can see no visible welding.Unless by the word welding you mean that the gap that b arrow shows is filled with welding.
Thanks

Anywhere on that circle your arrows point. Factory does not weld them, just press on.

Then why welding them after press-out+press in?Maybe because tolerances come loose because of this?Or you suggest doing so just to be sure?

You don't have to, it is extra insurance. We always weld sprocket adapters when using those for cam adjustability.

Do you need to worry about balancing the cam after you weld it?

Just finished rubbing again with WD40,really looks much better(although everytime I get pissed off with myself for letting this happen...)

About the balancing factor:
a)I noticed that every cam has the the beveled "gap" the arrow b points inline with the teeth.
b)Yet the holes on the sprocket vary on every cam in relation with the teeth line(that's natural, same sprockets, different timing).

I don't think there would be balancing issues, aftermarket adjustable sprockets(even yoshi for GSXR) have bolts their position varies according to timing

The best place to weld would be the gap of the arrow b,keeps the extra mass due to welding close to the shaft, looks coolest and if done by Zoran it adds 20horses at the wheel

edit:see how I stored the cam...he will sit there until he gets on the motor
